3ADAPT are now a certified B Corp.

In March of this year, 3ADAPT became a Certified B Corp Corporation.

As a B Corp, we’ve joined a global community of businesses dedicated to being a force for good, meeting high standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability. This reinforces our commitment to continuously improve and enable change that enriches society and is kind to our planet.

Since founding 3ADAPT nearly seven years ago, we’ve placed environmental and social impact at the heart of our mission. Achieving B Corp certification is a significant milestone for us, reinforcing our dedication and connecting us with a global community of like-minded organizations that also believe in harnessing business as a force for good.
— Phil Hampshire, Co-Founder and Director

Throughout the review and certification process we have been able to evidence our performance as well as consider how we can be a better business. We assessed our internal activities against the targets of our Doing Good Strategy which align with natural, social, human, intellectual, manufactured, and financial capitals as set out in the Integrated Reporting Framework. We also started the process of evaluating the impacts of our work with clients.

Joining 3ADAPT has been a fantastic start to my journey as a sustainability consultant. I was drawn to 3ADAPT because of their impactful work with client’s and their commitment to sustainable practices. The B Corp movement resonated as it aligned with our vision of a more sustainable world. I have enjoyed collaborating with the team and facilitating workshops to understand and document what we were already doing for the B-Corp Certification as well as explore with the team where we wanted to go further in the future.”

Our B Impact Assessment shows that we have exceeded throughout all impact areas; we’d like to share a few highlights with you.

  • Governance: Our governing documents have been amended to legally ensure consideration of all stakeholders in our decision-making processes. This will ensure that our business remains accountable to our workers, communities, customers, suppliers, and the environment, thereby creating long-term value.

  • Workers: The welfare and development of our team is paramount to us; we support this through a multitude of ways. For example, we have a number of qualified mental health first aiders, and had a diversity, equality and inclusion training day and are committed to growing a team that recognises the strength in our diversity. We support career development through formal progression guidance, regular feedback, and have a monthly budget dedicated to professional training and have made all pay bands for all grades transparent

  • Community: We facilitate and encourage employees to take the two annual volunteering days; we have supported charities such as The Conservation Volunteers, Mentoring Plus and Catalyze Change.

  • Environment: We have joined the ‘Race to Zero’ campaign. After undertaking a thorough review of our emissions, fully decarbonising scopes 1 and 2 and undertaking efforts to minimize scope 3.

  • Customers: Our most significant impact comes from collaboration with our clients. Our work incorporates maximizing social and human value in local communities of development projects, and via the sustainability strategies we create for large organisations. We have worked with organisations to quantify and develop carbon reduction plans for hundreds of thousands of tonnes of carbon. We have supported organisations to develop better land management plans for tens of thousands of hectares of land, with the aim of improving environmental and social outcomes.

We believe in transparency and accountability, which is why we share both our achievements and our challenges. Hence, we invite you to read our most recent Annual Impact Report, which provides a reflection of our journey, achievements, and the tangible impact we’ve created in the realms of sustainability, as well as the sights we have set for the future.”
